Many of our Kindersack baby sleeping bags are the side-zip design which has many benefits. It allows the baby to be placed inside the kindersack gently and easily even while baby sleeps. There is safe & easy velcro (we never use buttons or snaps that baby could choke on) at the shoulders to ensure a proper fit and the zipper goes along the side and bottom to open flat. This design comes in the first 2 sizes (1-3month) and (3-9mo). Many customers love this so much they want the next size to come in side-zip also, however, it can't because once a baby is about 11 months old they can get themselves out of the velcro by themselves! So, all 6-24month and up kindersacks are always center-zip.
