Baby Bunk Rubber Mattress: Natural rubber is firmer than other natural type mattresses. A baby bunk mattress generally is composed of a foam core with vinyl covering. Studies have shown that mice on this mattress have a reduction of 26% of their airflow. This could be a major factor in SIDS. Many studies have confirmed the link between SIDS and chemicals but the JPMA (crib industry) is very large and keeps promoting cheap synthetic mattresses. This mattress replaces that foam with natural rubber and the outer with organic cotton/wool outer fabric or wool moisture pad outer for natural flame- retardance, water- resistance, bacterial resistance and dust mite control. Meets all CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) guidelines.
